Reviens-nous vite Pentagruelle !

Hello everyone !

Je vous retrouve aujourd'hui pour un complot ! J'ai l'impression que la team se réveille un peu de son hibernation et ça fait vraiment plaisir =). Je suis également contente d'avoir pu participer à ce complot en l'honneur de Mag aka Pentagruelle une des modos de cette team.

I am back today for a plot ! It seems that the team is waking up a little bit from its hibernation and I am glad about it =). I am also very happy I could participate to this plot for Mag aka Pentagruelle one of the moderator of this team.

C'est Mimie Cristal qui a lancé le complot et qui a fait le logo (merci à toi Mimie et tous plein de bisous de courage pour toi <3).

Pentagruelle aime beaucoup les chats alors c'est tout naturellement que nous avons choisi ce theme pour nos créations et moi ça m'arrangeait carrément !

Mimie Cristal has launched this plot and she has created the logo (thank you Mimie Cristal).

Pentagruelle likes cats very much so it was obvious that we would take this theme for our creations and I have to admit that it was perfect for me !

Il n'y a pas si longtemps j'ai commandé le set numero 2 de la collection Fuzzy and Ferocious de Bundle Monster et parmi ce set il y a plusieurs plaques contenant des chats. Deux motifs en particulier sur ces plaques me faisaient de l'oeil donc j'étais ravie que ce complot pointe le bout de son nez pour que je puisse les utiliser !

Not so long ago I have ordered the set number 2 from the Fuzzy and Ferocious collection from Bundle Monster, and among this set there are several plates containing cats patterns. I was attracted by 2 particular patterns on these plates so I was glad this plot happened to be able to use them !

Je voulais faire ce nail-art sur fond bleu foncé pour figurer la nuit. A l'origine je voulais utiliser un vernis Kiko pour ça mais quand mes yeux se sont posés sur Tristam je me suis dit qu'en fait c'était lui qu'il fallait que j'utilise parce qu'il est beau, que je l'aime et qu'en plus sa couleur représente parfaitement bien la couleur de la nuit.

I wanted to do this nail-art over a dark blue base to represent the night. At first I wanted to use a Kiko nail polish but when I saw Tristam in my collection I decided that this one would be the perfect color and that I had to use it because it is so beautiful, because I love it and because the color is perfect to figure out night.

J'ai donc posé le beau Tristam en deux couches et sur tous mes ongles sauf sur les annulaires, j'ai stampé le motif avec les petits chats qui se baladent sur des cordes de la plaque BM-S162.

Pour les annulaires j'ai choisi de faire un reverse stamping avec le motif du petit chat assis sur un mur de brique, toujours sur la plaque BM-S162.

So I have applied the wonderful Tristam in 2 layers and over all my nails, except the 2 ring fingers, I have stamped the pattern with little cats walking on strings from the plate BM-S162.

For the ring fingers, I have made a reverse stamping using the pattern with the cat sat on a brick wall, still from the plate BM-S162.

  

Le résultat n'est pas toujours super visible étant donné la couleur sombre du vernis de base mais c'est l'effet que je voulais donc ça me va tout à fait =).

The result is not always very visible because of the dark color of my base color but this is exactly the effect I wanted to have, so I am glad about it =).

Je suis tellement contente de ces plaques ! Les motifs sont superbes et les plaques sont tellement bien gravées. Je retire tout ce que j'ai pu dire précédemment sur la qualité des plaques Bundle Monster, la fautive c'était moi qui utilsait une mauvaise technique et un mauvais materiel.

I am really happy with these plates ! The patterns are really nice and the plates are very well carved. I take back everything I could have said previously concerning Bundle Monster plates quality, I was the one making mistakes using the wrong technic and the wrong tools.

  

En ce qui concerne le matériel justement, j'ai utilisé mon tampon Marshmallow Non-Sticky de chez Moyou London pour stamper les motifs avec le vernis Kind of Black S de Colour Alike. Pour remplir mon stamping reverse j'ai utilisé mon Kiko Quick Dry numero 853 pour les petites étoiles (on n'en voit pas beaucoup je suis d'accord ^^), mon Kiko Quick Dry numero 841 pour remplir les oreilles et la langue du chat, Matt White de Barry M pour les yeux et All Tied Up de Essie pour le mur de brique.

Talking about the tools, for this nail-art I have used my Non-Sticky Marshmallow stamper from Moyou London to stamp the pattern using kind of black S from Colour Alike. To fill the reverse stamping I have used Kiko Quick Dry number 853 for the starts (I have to admit that there are not so much ^^), Kiko Quick Dry number 841 for the ears and tongue of the cat, Matt White from Barry M for the eyes and All Tied Up from Essie for the brick wall.

Nail O'clock #9: Stamping & Glitters ! (+ premier test du Uber Mat)

Edit: Cet article aurait du paraitre le 14 Novembre, date à laquelle j'avais prévu le Nail O'Clock. Si mon article n'est pas paru c'est simplement à cause d'un bug et du fait de mon absence. Si je n'avais pas été en vacances, j'aurais rectifié le tir et aurais publié mon article à l'heure.
Edit: This article should have been posted on November 14th, the day when Nail O'Clock has been predicted. Non vous ne rêvez pas je poste bien mon article tôt le matin et dans les temps, parce que je suis prête pour la première fois depuis quelques Nail O'Clock ^^.

J'ai enfin réussi à rattraper mon retard en terme de nail-art et j'ai eu la présence d'esprit de faire mon Nail O'Clock suffisamment en avance pour ne pas être débordée le jour J et pour vous poster mon article à l'heure !

No you're not dreaming, I am really posting my article early in the morning, on time because at last I am ready for this Nail O'Clock ^^.

I finally succeeded in catching up on my nail-art and I was clever enough to do my Nail O'Clock early enough not to be in a rush on the D-Day and to post my article on time !

Le thème de ce mois-ci était Stamping & Glitters. Je pense que vous le savez maintenant si on me parle de stamping je suis joie joie joie donc quand j'ai vu le thème j'étais ravie.

Je ne savais pas immédiatement ce que j'allais faire ni quels vernis j'allais utiliser mais peu importe, je savais que j'allais aimer faire ce nail-art.

The theme for this month was Stamping & Glitters. I think you know now that if anyone is talking about stamping, I am happy and when I saw the theme, I was happy.

I did not know immediately what would I do and which nail polish I was going to use but it did not matter because I knew I would love creating this nail-art.

La veille de réaliser mon nail-art j'ai eu une idée, comme ça, d'un coup, j'avais envie d'essayer quelque chose. Et puis j'ai reçu il y a quelques semaines maintenant mon tapis Uber Mat de la marque Uber Chic et je n'avais pas encore vraiment pris le temps de l'essayer donc cette fois ci j'avais envie de m'en servir.

The day before doing my nail-art I had an idea, just like that, I wanted to try something. I also received my Uber Mat from Uber Chic a few weeks ago and I did not have time to really try it, so this time I wanted to use it.

Sans plus attendre, voici mon nail-art:

J'ai posé en base mon vernis Gloss & shock, Precious Pink, de la marque Biguine qui m'avait été offert par ma tutrice et mes collègues pour mon anniversaire lors de mon stage de M1 (ça me rappelle d'excellents souvenirs et je suis vraiment contente de l'avoir posé de nouveau). 

Bon évidemment je ne pouvais pas faire les choses bien à 100% et j'ai oublié de le prendre en photo tout seul... mais on le voit très bien sur les ongles sans stamping donc je pense que ça rattrape un peu.

As a base color I have applied my nail polish Gloss & Shock, Precious Pink from the brand Biguine that I received for my birthday by my mentor and my colleagues when I was going my Master 1 training (it reminds me lots of excellent souvenirs and I am glad I have applied this one again).

As I could not do a perfect article, I have forgotten to take some picture of it on its own... yet we can see it very well on the nails where there is no stamping so that's the main point I think.

C'est un vernis couleur vieux rose je dirais, même si je pense qu'il est un peu plus vif que la vrai couleur vieux rose mais je ne sais pas du tout comment le décrire autrement, qui est gorgé de paillettes. En fait je crois que ce ne sont que des paillettes dans une base transparente mais il y en a tellement qu'une seule couche suffit pour le rendre opaque (d'ailleurs je ne porte qu'une seule couche). Je l'aime beaucoup ce vernis et pendant un temps je voulais me procurer les autres couleurs de la collection tellement j'aime son fini à ce vernis. Bref.

This is a kind of vintage pink color I think, even if the real vintage pink color is less bright than this one but I really did not know how to define it in another way, full of glitters. Actually I even think it is only glitters inside a transparent base color and there are so many glitters that the polish is opaque with only one layer (I am wearing only one coat by the way). I really really like this one and during a few time I even thought about buying all the colors of this collection because I love the texture of this nail polish so much. Anyway.

Par-dessus j'avais envie d'ajouter un reverse fleuri en utilisant une de mes plaques Moyou London de la collection Tropical (la Tropical 02) et je savais exactement de quelle couleur je voulais colorer ces fleurs.

Over this color I wanted to add a flower-like reverse stamping using one of my Moyou plate from the Tropical collection (the Tropical 02) and I exactly knew which color I was going to use to paint the flowers.

J'ai donc posé mon top coat Konad sur mon tapis Uber Mat (qui d'ailleurs fonctionne super bien pour cette technique) que j'ai laissé sécher le temps de poser ma base. Ensuite j'ai appliqué un vernis vert foncé, le Essence Trust in Fashion sur les feuilles du motif et le vernis noir Kind of Black S de Colour Alike sur le motif de la fleur elle-même, j'ai raclé pour enlever le surplus, j'ai prélevé le motif avec mon tampon marshmallow de chez Moyou et ensuite j'ai appliqué le motif sur le tapis (là où j'avais mis du top coat évidemment).

So I have applied my Konad top coat on the Uber Mat (this top coat is perfect for this technic by the way) that I have let dry while I was applying my base coat. Then I have a dark green polish, Essence Trust in Fashion, on the leaves of the pattern and a black nail polish, Kind of Black S from Colour Alike, on the flower of the pattern, I swiped to remove the excess, I took the pattern with my marshmallow stamper from Moyou and I stamped it on the mat (where I applied Konad top coat obviously).

 

 

J'étais contente de voir que j'avais réussi à avoir les feuille d'une couleur et la fleur d'une autre couleur sur le motif final parce que je n'étais pas vraiment sur de moi au départ.

Ensuite j'ai rempli mes fleurs avec The Brunette by The Beautyst, qui est une couleur parfaite pour la saison et j'ai laissé sécher pendant que j'appliquais une couche de mon vernis Biguine et mon top coat Poshé.

I was really happy to see that I could stamp a pattern with 2 different colors, one for the leaves and one for the flower, because before trying it I was not really sure about the result.

Then I have filled the pattern with The Brunette by The Beautyst which is a perfect color for this season and I have let it dried while I was applying my Biguine polish and my Poshé top coat over my nails.

Enfin j'ai décollé les patchs du tapis et je les ai appliqués sur les ongles que j'avais choisis, en découpant un peu les contours pour faciliter le nettoyage. J'ai fini de nettoyer les contours avec un pinceau et du dissolvant et j'ai appliqué une généreuse couche de top coat par-dessus pour terminer.

Finally, I removed the patch from the mat and I applied them over the nails I have chosen after having cut the edges of it to make the cleaning easier. I finished cleaning the contours of my nails using a brush and some remover and I finished the nail-art by applying a generous layer of top coat.

Je suis ravie du résultat et je me dis que j'aurais dû faire ce motif sur tous mes ongles. J'aime vraiment beaucoup les couleurs entre elles et je trouve ce nail-art parfait pour la saison.

I really love the result and I almost regret not having applying the reverse on all my nails. I really like the flowers and I think that the whole colors together are perfect for the season.

Du coup en ce qui concerne le tapis, je l'adore, je trouve ça vraiment super pratique à condition d'utiliser le bon top coat dessus, (le top coat effet gel de Sephora ne fonctionne pas par exemple et le quick dry top coat de essence non plus)  et je pense que je vais me remettre au reverse très souvent parce que c'est vraiment facile de cette façon !

Concenrning the mat, I love it ! It is so useful, if you use the right top coat on it (the gel top coat from Sephora does not work for example and the quick dry top coat from Essence does not work either). I really think I will do more reverse in the future because it is so easy using this technic.

Inspinails avec Beltane Secret: Pink Dry Brush !

Voila plusieurs semaines (mois?) maintenant, Virginie du blog Beltane Secret, a demandé sur Facebook si quelqu'un était intéressé par des articles Mani Swap ou Inspinails avec elle et j'ai répondu présente puisque j'avais très envie de faire un article Inspinails avec une autre blogueuse.

A few weeks (months?) ago, Virginie from the blog Beltane Secret, asked on Facebook if anyone would like to do a Mani Swap or an Inspinails with her, and I told her that I was interested because I really wanted to realise an Inspinails article with another blogger.

On a commencé par discuter pour se mettre d'accord sur une technique qui nous plaisait et puis ensuite on a trainé. Ensuite on s'est recontacté pour partager certaines de nos trouvailles et on s'est arrêté sur une photo et on a encore trainé. Et enfin ça y est, voici notre article Inspinails.

We have started to talk about it to decide the technic we wanted to choose and then we have dawdled. Then we talked again together to share some ideas we have found online and we decided the one which would be our inspiration and we dawdled again. Finally, here we are, with our Inspinails article.

A l'origine j'aurais voulu faire du stamping (comme c'est étrange ^^) mais Virginie n'avait pas tellement envie d'en faire (et je l'en remercie !) alors je lui ai proposé la technique du Dry Brush que j'avais très envie d'essayer et elle a accepté.

At the beginning I wanted to recreate a stamping manicure (what a surprise ^^) but Virginie did not want (and I thank her for that !) to so I told her about the Dry Brush technic that I really wanted to try and she accepted.

Pour tout vous avouer, comme c'était mon tout premier dry brush, j'avais un peu peur de me rater et de ne pas aimer le résultat, du coup j'ai commencé par ne faire qu'une seule main pour voir si le résultat allait me plaire et si j'allais avoir envie de le garder sur mes ongles quelques jours.

Voila donc ce que ça a donné:

I have to tell you that as it was my very first dry brush, I was afraid not to succeed and not to like the result so I have started by realising it only on one hand to see if I like the result first and if I want to wear it for a few days.

Here is what I have made:

 

 

 

Finalamenet j'adore ce nail-art un peu déstructuré, que je portais d'ailleurs pour Halloween et qui du coup allait très bien avec l'occasion.

Quand j'ai eu terminé de poser les différentes teintes de rose, je n'aimais pas le résultat et j'étais persuadé que je n'allais pas garder cette manucure et puis finalement la pose du noir a rajouté ce petit quelque chose qui fait que j'adore ce nail-art et que je l'ai réalisé sur les deux mains.

Finally I love this nail-art, a little bit unstructured , that I was wearing for Halloween and that was perfect for the occasion I think.

When I was finished applying the different shades of pink polish, I did not really like the result and I was pretty sure I would not keep this manicure on my nails but finally after applying the black color the nail-art had this little something that I really like and that make that I realise this nail-art on my both hands.

Pour commencer j'ai posé le joli Charlotte Street de Nails Inc, que la gentille Pmabelle m'avait fait parvenir l'été dernier <3:

To start I have applied the very nice Charlotte Street from Nails Inc, that the very nice Pmabelle sent me last summer <3:

 

 

C'est un nude beige/rosé qui était selon moi la couleur qui se rapprochait le plus du nail-art original, parmi ce que j'avais dans ma collection.

Puis ensuite j'ai ajouté des taches de mon joli Fiji de Essie, puis de Tropink de Maybelline mais j'ai trouvé que la teinte était trop flashy donc j'ai essayé de l'adoucir en ajoutant un peu de Candy Floss de Mavala. Enfin j'ai terminé avec des taches de Licorice de Essie.

This a pink/beige nude color that was the color that look the most like the one on the original nail-art, from my collection.

Then I have applied some touch of my nice Fiji from Essie, then of Tropink from Maybelline but it seems to me that the color was too bright so I have tried so make it softer by adding some Candy Floss from Mavala. Finally I finished with some Licorice from Essie.

Je trouve que je me rapproche plutôt bien de l'original et je suis super contente du résultat. C'était mon tout premier dry brush mais ce ne sera surement pas le dernier car j'ai déjà très envie de recommencer, en ajoutant pourquoi pas un motif de stamping par dessus =P.

I think I am pretty close from the original one and I am really happy with the result. It was my very first dry brush but probably not my last one as I already want to try again by adding a stamping pattern over it =P.
