The rock and roll circus nail art show for Pmabelle

Hello everyone !

J'espère que vous allez bien et que vous avez la chance d'avoir un peu plus de soleil que je n'en ai ici en Irlande...

I hope that you are fine and that you are lucky enough to get more sun than I have here in Ireland...

Si vous êtes une "vraie" NPA vous n'êtes pas sans savoir que notre reine des mouettes, Pmabelle, a organisé un concours pour les 3 ans de son blog. Et si vous n'étiez pas au courant alors filez vite voir son blog parce que si vous ne connaissez pas Pmabelle alors vous ratez vraiment quelque chose !!

If you are a "real" NPA you probably know that the seagulls queen, Pmabelle, was organising a contest to celebrate the 3 years of her blog. And if you did not know it, I really recommend you to go and check her blog, because if you don't know her, you are really missing something !!

Tout d'abord je souhaite évidemment encore une fois un joyeux anniversaire au blog de notre maman mouette et je souhaite que tu continues cette aventure avec nous pendant encore longtemps =).

First of all, I would like to wish again to her blog a happy birthday and I wish that you continue this adventure with us for a long long time =).

Pour le concours créatif qu'elle a organisé, il fallait réaliser un nail-art sur le thème de "The Rock and Roll circus nail art show" et là... c'est le drame ! Du moins pour moi. Parce que le côté circus je le vois très bien, mais alors le côté rock beaucoup moins. J'ai l'impression que pas mal de blogueuse NPA (et pas NPA d'ailleurs) ont ce côté un peu rock mais alors moi je ne l'ai pas du tout du tout. Et je pense que vous vous en êtes rendu compte en voyant mes nail-art ^^.

Bref.

For this creative contest that she has organised, we had to realise a nail art on the theme "The Rock and Roll Circus Nail Art Show" and I have to say that... it was a drama for me ! Because talking about the circus, that's fine I have lots of idea but talking about Rock and Roll... no idea at all. It seems that lots of NPA blogger (and non NPA too) have this rock and roll side but not me at all. And I am pretty sure that you have noticed that seeing my nail-art ^^.

Anyway.

Je me suis laissée un petit laps de temps pour réfléchir, et puis la date d'échéance approchant à grand pas, j'ai fini par me lancer, mais n'étant pas beaucoup plus inspirée qu'au début, le côté rock je ne l'ai toujours pas.

I have waited some times to be able to think about the theme and the final date was coming faster than I was thinking so I have finally try it even if I still did not have any better idea.

On avait la possibilité de se classer dans une catégorie parmi 3 proposées et qui allait de débutante à confirmée. La catégorie dépendant du nombre de techniques que nous avions utilisées pour notre nail-art. J'aurais voulu concourir pour la catégorie 2 mais mon matériel de stamping m'ayant fait défaut, j'ai concouru pour la catégorie débutante.

We had the possibility to chose the category we wanted to participate for. There were 3 categories: from beginner to experienced. And the category was depending on the number of technics we were using for our nail-art. I wanted to participate for the category number two but my stamping material was not very nice with me so I have participate for the beginner category.

Comme je vous l'avais dit, on voit bien le côté circus puisque j'ai utilisé des couleurs qui y font pensé, et que j'ai repris les motifs d'un chapiteau.

Je suis très satisfaite de mes bandes réalisées au striping tape et je crois que c'est la première fois que je maitrise aussi bien ce petit bout de scotch ^^. J'aime aussi beaucoup mon petit tourbillon tricolore qui rappelle le dessus des chapiteau de cirque.

As I told you before, we can clearly the circus inspiration because I have used colours that make think about it and I have reproduce the patters of a circus tent.

I am really proud of myself concerning the part I made using striping tape and I think it is the first time I master so well this little tape ^^. I also really like my little three-coloured whirl that remind the top of the circus tent.

Le côté rock je voulais l'apporter en ajoutant du stamping, mais malheureusement la seule plaque de stamping que j'ai et qui correspond à ce thème n'a pas voulu fonctionner... J'ai essayé 3 vernis différents, 2 tampons, un dissolvant avec acétone et un sans acétone et rien n'a fonctionné... Du coup je pense que ma plaque est mal gravée tout simplement.

J'ai tout de même réussi à stamper un motif (le seul) sur mon pouce et comme il n'était pas parfait, j'ai du le retoucher avec de la peinture. Et c'est uniquement là que se trouve le côté rock de ma manucure.

Concerning the rock side, I wanted to represent it adding some stamping but unfortunately the only plate I had which corresponds to the theme did not want to work.... I have tried 3 several nail polishes, 2 stamper, a nail polish remover with and without acetone and nothing worked... So I think that my plate is not very well carved.

I managed to stamp one pattern (the only one) on my thumbs and as it was not perfect, I had to use some painting to make it better. And this is the only rock thing that you can find in my manicure.

Enfin bref, tant pis pour moi. Je ne concoure pas pour gagner absolument mais pour me lancer des défis et pour essayer des choses que je ne tenterais pas par moi même. Et puis j'avais vraiment envie de participer au concours de Pmabelle =).

Anyway. Too bad for me. I am not participating to win absolutely but to create a challenge for myself and to try stuff I would not try by myself. And I really really wanted to participated to Pmabelle's contest =).

A l'heure où je vous poste cet article il me semble que le concours est terminé, mais que vous pouvez voter pour votre participation préférée sur sa page Facebook. Je suis un peu en retard et je m'en excuse mais je suis très occupée en ce moment.

J'ai hâte de voir toutes les autres participations et j'en ai déjà vu certaines qui valent vraiment le détour =).

At this moment, I think that the contest is over but that you can vote for the participation you prefer on Pmabelle's Facebook page. I am a little bit late and I am really sorry about that but I am quite busy these times.

I am really looking forward to see the others participations. I have already seen some and there are really nice nail-art =).

Nailstorming: Dessins Animés !

Salut les nailistas =) !

Hi nailistas =)

Aujourd'hui nous sommes Dimanche et je reviens pour le traditionnel...

Today is Sunday and I am back for the traditional...

Je n'ai pas participé au précédent Nailstorming par manque de temps, mais aussi parce que je portais une manucure qui m'avait tellement plus que je ne voulais pas la retirer ^^. Vous pouvez voir de quelle manucure je parle juste ici, si ça vous dit.

I did not participate for the last one because I did not have time but also because I was wearing a manicure that I loved and that I did not want to remove ^^. If you want to see what I am talking about, you can click here.

Par contre le Nailstorming de ce Dimanche, je ne pouvais pas ne pas y participer, puisque je suis (et j'ai d'ailleurs toujours été) une très grande amatrice de dessins animés ! Si je dois choisir entre un film et un dessin animé je choisis le dessin animé ! A tel point que j'ai déjà vu tous les Disney au moins trois fois chacun et pareil pour tous les autres films d'animation que j'aime ^^.

However I could not, not participate to this Nailstorming because I am (and I have always been) a very big fan of cartoons ! If I have to chose between a movie and a cartoon, I will choose the cartoon ! And I can tell you that I have seen all the Disney movies at least 3 times each and it is the same for all the cartoons that I really like ^^.

J'aurais pu choisir beaucoup de sujet: Père Castor, Les animaux du bois de quat'sous, Princesse Sarah, Mon voisin Totoro, Le lutin magique, ... et encore plein d'autres qui ont marqué mon enfance.

I could have chosen lots of different subject: Père Castor, Les animaux du bois de quat'sous, Princess Sarah, My neighbour Totoro, A troll in central park, ... and lots other that have left mark on my childhood.

Mais, parmi tous les dessins animés, mes préférés restent ceux de Disney. Je suis une fan inconditionnelle de cette univers magique qui me fait retomber en enfance à chaque fois que j'en regarde un, peu importe le nombre de fois que je l'ai déjà vu. Chéri dit que j'ai des étoiles dans les yeux quand j'en regarde et du coup ça lui donne envie d'en regarder avec moi =).

Yet, among all these cartoons, my favourites remain the ones from Disney. I am a really big big fan of this magic universe that makes me feel I am a child again every time I watch one of them, no matter how many times I have already seen it before. My boyfriend always tells me that I have little stars in the eyes when I watch these cartoons and it makes him want to watch it with me =).

Mon préféré parmi tous? Je n'en ai pas. Je les aime tous, certains moins que d'autres, mais je les aime tous et je prend toujours beaucoup de plaisir à les re-regarder.

If you ask me which one is my favourite? I don't have one. I love them all. Some less than others but I love them all and I always enjoy watching them again and again.

Du coup, comme je ne maitrise pas encore vraiment mes pinceaux, j'ai eu envie de représenter certains personnages de l'univers Disney de façon subjective, pour éviter de les défigurer. Saurez vous retrouver de qui il s'agit?

As I am not very good at painting with brushes and acrylic paints, I wanted to represent some of the Disney characters in a subjective way, in order not to disfigure them. Will you guess the name of these characters?

Je profite de ce petit article pour vous montrer mes quelques réalisations en perles =) ici ce sont des personnages de Disney bien évidemment, mais je suis aussi passionnée de loisirs créatifs donc j'en ai fait tous pleins d'autres =).

I am taking the advantage of this article to show you some of my creations =). Here there are some Disney characters obviously, but I love handicrafts so I made lots of other ones =).

Alors vous avez tout trouvé? Je suis certaine que oui, alors je vais détailler un peu chacun de mes ongles =).

So have you found the character? I am sure that you did, so I am going to detail a little bit more all of my nails =).

Sur le pouce, j'ai représenté l'oeil de Bob Razowski du film Monstres et Compagnie, 

On my thumbs I have represented the eye of Bob Razowski from Monsters & Cie,

sur mon index, j'ai repris les motif de Polochon dans la Petite Sirène (bon ok c'est le moins réussi je suis d'accord ^^), 

on my index, I have drawn the patterns of Floundern (ok I have to admit that it is not the best one ^^),

sur mon majeur, on retrouve les rayures de la queue de Meeko, compagnon de Pocahontas, 

on my middle finger, you can see the stripes of Meeko, one of Pocahontas' friends,

sur mon annulaire, ce sont les rayures du Cheshire Cat de Alice au pays des merveilles 

on my ring finger, there are the stripes of the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland

et enfin mon auriculaire reprend les motifs d'un poisson clown nommé Némo =).

and finally my pinky represents the pattern of Nemo =).

Je me rend compte en regardant les images, que je me suis un peu plantée sur les couleurs du Cheshire cat, mais dans ma tête il était violet et rose... Tant pis, ce n'est pas bien grave ^^.

I realised now, by watching the picture, that I made a mistake concerning the colours of the Cheshire cat, but in my mind, it was pink and purple... Anyway it is not a big deal ^^.
