Que de gourmandises !

Hello hello.

Non je n'ai pas déserté le blog ne vous en faites pas j'ai juste eu du mal à le faire tourner tout en préparant mon partenariat et en plus j'ai eu quelques petits soucis de connexion internet qui m'empêchait de charger mes photos sur le blog.

Bref, à priori tout ceci est terminé donc je vais pouvoir revenir en force sur mon petit espace à moi =).

No I did not give up on the blog, don't worry, it was just very hard for me to keep going with the blog while preparing the nail-art for my partnership and I had an Internet connection issue recently which prevented me from downloading my pictures on the blog.

Anyway now it is ok so I should be able to come back in my own little space =).

Aujourd'hui je vous reviens pour un nail-art absolument pas de saison, mais je l'ai réalisé pour le concours des 300 abonnés Instagram de Mimiparesse dont le thème est "Gourmandise" ! Et pour moi qui dit gourmandise dit couleurs et chocolat. Bon surtout chocolat quand même !

Today I am back for a totally non-seasonnal nail-art that I have created for a contest. Mimiparesse is "celebrating" the fact that she has reached 300 suscribers on Instagram and her theme is "love of good food" ! And for me, this means colours and chocolate. But mainly chocolate I have to admit it !

Ce concours était donc l'occasion pour moi d'utiliser la collection Silk de Barry M dans son intégralité (ou presque), ainsi qu'une technique que je veux essayer depuis un moment: le water marble simplifié. Vous savez cette technique qui consiste à laisser sécher le motif dans l'eau puis à le sortir pour en faire des patchs que l'on colle sur ses ongles.

This contest was the occasion for me to use the whole Silk collection from Barry M (almost all of it actually) but also a technic that I want to try for a while: the simplified (or cheat) water marble. This technic consists in leave the pattern inside the water until it dries and then to remove it to create stickers to apply on the nails. 

 

 

J'ai fait plusieurs tests avant de me lancer dans mon nail-art pour voir si j'allais m'en sortir et comme je n'ai pas réussi à faire de motifs (je pense que les vernis que j'ai utilisé sèchent trop vite dans l'eau) je me suis contenté de laisser les gouttes formées des cercles aléatoires dans l'eau et je vous présente donc mon rainbow cake au chocolat =P.

I have made several trials before I started my nail-art to see if I will succeed and as I was not able to create patterns (I think that these particular nail polish dry too fast in the water) I have let the polish drops create random circles at the surface of the water and here is my chocolate rainbow cake =P.

Oui oui, je trouve que cela ressemble à un rainbow cake. Vous n'etes pas d'accord?

Yes, I am telling you, it looks like a rainbow cake. Don't you think so?

Je suis super contente du résultat même si je vous avoue que j'ai bien cru que j'allais devoir tout dissolver à la fin.

Les motifs que j'ai prélevés dans l'eau étaient si fin, que lorsque je voulais les positionner sur mon ongle et bien les lisser, ils se fissuraient. Une horreur !

Finalement j'ai pris mon temps et tout s'est bien terminé.

I am very happy with the result even if I have to admit that I thought at the beginning that I was about to remove everything.

The pattern I have taken off the water were so thin that when I wanted to apply them correctly on my nails and smooth everything, the patch were cracking. It was horrible !

Finally I took my time and everything ended well.

Donc pour la technique, j'ai commencé par faire comme un watermarble en laissant tomber mes gouttes de vernis dans l'eau. J'ai utilisé toute la collection des vernis Silk de Barry M sauf le blanc (Pearl) et le marron glacé (Truffle) et j'ai ajouté Piaf de Zoya parce que je trouvais qu'il manquait un jaune dans cette collection. J'ai laissé mes petits ronds sécher dans l'eau et une fois bien sec je les ai sorti du verre pour les essuyer.

So for the technic I have started by a normal water marble letting my polish drops spreading at the surface of the water. I have used all the Silk collection from Barry M except the white one (pearl) and the chestnut one (Truffle) and I have added Piaf from Zoya because I founded that a yellow color was missing in this collection. I have let it dry in the water and once it was completely dryI took them off to remove all the water.

Sur mes ongles j'ai posé Pearl (le blanc nacré de la collection donc) en deux couches que j'ai laissé sécher puis j'ai decoupé mes patchs et je les ai appliqué sur tous mes ongles. Si besoin on ajoute une petite couche de top coat avant pour que ca colle bien et on prend son temps pour tout bien appliquer.

On my nails I have applied Pearl (the whit polish from the collection) in two coats and I have let it dried. Then I have cut my dried water marble to create patchs that I have applied over my nails. When necessary, I have applied some top coat to stick the patch to the nails and I took all the time necessary to apply them correctly.

Pour terminer j'avais dans l'idee d'utiliser Truffle en stamping par dessus pour figurer du chocolat qui coule mais malheureusement la couleur ne se voyait pas suffisamment par dessus les autres. Du coup je suis allée chercher Petra de Marc Jacobs et j'ai stampé le motif de coulure de la plaque BM-4.. de Bundle Monster. Je pensais que le résultat ne serait pas du tout réaliste à cause des pailletes présentes dans le vernis alors que finalement ça fonctionne au top !!

To finish this nail-art, I wanted to use Truffle to stamp over the marble to represent leaking chocolate but unfortunately the color was not dark enough and it was not visible over the marble. So I decided to take Petra from Marc Jacobs and I stamped the pattern of the plate BM-4.. from Bundle Monster. I I thought that the result would not be realistic because of the sparkles in the nail polish, but finally I find the result perfect !!

Je trouve qu'on se rend bien compte des gouttes de chocolat qui coule et je suis vraiment très contente de moi. 

According to me it clearly represent leaking chocolate and I am really happy about what I have done.

Voilà vous savez tout de ce nail-art. J'ai vraiment aimé cette technique du watermarble qui est beaucoup moins salissante donc je pense que je ré-essaierais avec des vernis moins "fins" de façon à moins galérer au moment de l'application des patchs.

That's it, you know all the steps of this nail-art. I really enjoyed this watermarble technic which is less dirty than the normal one and I think I will try again later with thicker nail polishes so that it won't be so difficult to apply the patchs on my nails.

Nailstorming #134: Tous en forêt !

J'espère que vous passez un bon weekend et que vous profitez bien de votre dimanche avant de reprendre une nouvelle semaine de travail/école.

Je vous retrouve aujourd'hui pour un article assez rapide pour vous présenter ma participation au Nailstorming de ce dimanche sur le thème "Tous en forêt !". Pourquoi rapide me direz vous? Tout simplement parce que si je veux que mon article soit publié aujourd'hui il ne va pas falloir que je parle trop et que je rédige un roman.

I am back today for a short article to show you my participation to this Sunday Nailstorming on the theme "Everyone in the wood !". Why short article? Simply because if I want to post this article today I need not to talk a lot to have a quite small article.

Le thème de ce Nailstorming me parlait beaucoup parce qu'étant plus jeune j'allais souvent en forêt avec mes frères et mes parents pour ramasser des champignons, des marrons, des châtaignes ou bien tout simplement pour me balader et je dois avouer que ça me manque beaucoup, surtout quand vient l'automne.

J'avais en plus une plaque de stamping qui se prêtait parfaitement au thème et que j'avais très envie d'utiliser.

This theme really meant a lot to me because when I was younger I went very often into the wood with my brothers and my parents to pick up some mushrooms, chestnuts or simply to take a walk and I have to admit that I really miss these days especially when Fall is coming.

I also have a very nice plate, perfect for this theme, that I really wanted to try.

Avec cette plaque je voulais à l'origine reproduire un nail-art que j'ai vu sur la page Facebook du site Born Pretty Store et que j'aimais beaucoup (si vous voulez le voir, vous pouvez cliquer >ici<). J'aimais beaucoup l'effet du fond de ce nail-art qui me faisait vraiment penser à un lever de soleil et donc au moment le plus propice de la journée pour voir les animaux de la forêt.

Et puis finalement j'ai eu envie de faire mon nail-art à moi, avec une idée qui serait la mienne et que je n'aurais pas copié sur quelqu'un d'autre. Et voila ce que ça a donné:

Using this plate, I firstly wanted to reproduce a nail-art that I have seen on Born Pretty Store Facebook page that I really like (if you want to see it, just click >here<). I really like the colors in the background of the nail-art that make me think about the sun rising which is the best moment to see animals of the woods.

But finally I wanted to create my nail-art using my idea and not something I would have copied on someone. And here is the result:

 

 

 

 

Je suis fan fan fan de ce nail-art ! J'aime les couleurs et les motifs de stamping et je veux garder ce nail-art sur mes ongles le plus longtemps possible ^^.

I am really a big fan of this nail-art ! I love the colors, the patterns and I want to keep this on my nails as long as possible ^^.

Comme on peut le deviner un peu au travers des motifs de stamping, j'ai réalisé en fond un dry brush (mon 2e et vous verrez mon premier demain =P) avec les vernis Good as Gold de Essie, Petra de Marc Jacobs et Rock the World de Orly le tout sur Don't Bossa Nova me Around de OPI.

Je voulais faire un effet de reflets et de lumières qui passerait au travers des arbres de la forêt.

As you can guess watching behind the stamping patterns, I have made a dry brush as a background (my second one and you will see the first one tomorrow =P) with the nail polish Good as Gold from Essie, Petra from Marc Jacobs and Rock the World from Orly over Don't Bossa Nova me Around from OPI.

I wanted to represent the lights and reflects we can see in the woods through the trees.

Et puis par dessus j'ai stampé des motifs de ma plaque QXE-07 (dupe de la BP L011 du site Born Pretty Store) et après avoir nettoyé tous les contours, j'ai appliqué une bonne couche de top coat qui a encore plus fait ressortir les motifs de stamping.

Et voila !

Over this dry brush I have stamped some pattern of the plate QXE-07 (which is a dupe of the plate BP L011 from Born Pretty Store) and after cleaning the contours, I have applied a generous layer of top coat that really revealed the stamping patterns.

And that's it !

Je vais maintenant aller faire un tour sur le site de Mademoiselle Emma pour voir les autres participations parce que je trouve toujours amusant de voir les différentes inspirations des NPA sur un même thème.

I am now going to have a look at Mademoiselle Emma's blog to see the other participation because I always find it funny to see the different inspirations of NPAs on the same theme.

Premier nail-art automnal !

Hello everyone !

Oui je suis toujours bien vivante et non je ne laisse pas tomber le blog, mais comme vous vous en doutez quand on déménage c'est un peu toujours la galère pour récupérer Internet. Je pensais vraiment que ce serait rapide puisqu'avec Chéri on a tout bien fait comme il fallait avant de quitter notre précédent appartement, mais non toujours pas de nouvelles de notre box et commence sérieusement à nous agacer. 

Bref, ce n'est pas le sujet.

Yes I am still alive and no I am not abandoning the blog but as you can imagine, when we are moving to a new apartment it is always hard to have Internet back. I really thought that every thing would be very quick as the boyfriend and I did everything we could to have Internet as soon as we arrived in the apartment but unfortunately we do not have any new from our Internet box and it really gets on my nerves.

Anyway this is not the subject of this article.

Le sujet d'ailleurs c'est l'automne. Même si mes saisons préférés sont le printemps et l'été, je suis bien obligée de passer par l'automne et l'hiver comme tout le monde. Etrangement il pleut moins en Irlande depuis que nous sommes en automne et j'ai le plaisir de voir le soleil presque tous les jours donc je suis ravie et je prie très fort pour que ça dure =P.

Talking about the subject, it is Autumn. Even if my favourites seasons are Spring and Summer, I have to accept that there is also Autumn and Winter. Strangely, there is less rain here in Ireland since Autumn is here and I am really glad. I hope it will last a long time =P.

Même si j'adore les couleurs vives, il y a quelques unes de mes couleurs automnales que j'adore et que j'avais hâte de reporter donc j'ai fait un nail-art avec l'une d'entre elle. J'ai en plus reçu 4 nouvelles plaques Moyou London que j'avais très envie d'essayer donc me voici ici pour vous présenter tout ça:

Even if I love bright colours, there are some fall colour that I really like wearing and that I was looking forward to wearing again so I made a nail-art with one of these. I have received 4 new Moyou London stamping plates as well that I really wanted to try so let me present you this:

  

 

  

 

Alors oui pour un retour j'aurais pu faire mieux puisque j'ai oublié de prendre ne photo ma couleur de base toute seule... Mais on va dire que je n'ai plus l'habitude et qu'il va me falloir un peu de temps avant de me remettre dans le bain ^^.

Yes I know I could have done a better article to come back because I have forgotten to take picture of my base colour... But let's pretend I just need some time to get used again to prepare article and soon every thing will be fine again ^^.

Le vernis de base que j'ai utilisé c'est Petra de la marque Marc Jacob. J'adore cette couleur et j'adore ce flacon. J'ai acheté ce vernis quand j'étais aux Etats-Unis. J'ai tellement adoré les flacons de ces vernis que je ne voulais pas repartir sans en avoir acheté un ^^. L'application est une merveille et le pinceau est plutôt sympa. Le vernis sèche assez vite donc parfait quand on veut faire du nail-art par dessus.

The base colour I have used is Petra from Marc Jacob. I really love this colour and I love the bottle of this nail polish. I have purchased this one when I was in the USA. I enjoyed so much the bottles of these nail polish that I could not leave the USA without one of them ^^. The application of this nail polish is perfect and the brush is very nice. The polish drys quite fast which is very enjoyable when you want to do a nail-art over it.

Par dessus ce vernis j'ai eu envie de faire un stamping simple avec une des nouvelles plaques que j'ai reçu, la Fashionista 11 de Moyou London et un vernis doré, mon très cher Good as Gold de Essie.

J'ai choisi plusieurs endroits de la plaque pour avoir des motifs différents sur tous les ongles et je suis plutôt contente du résultat =). Ce qui est chouette avec ce genre de plaque, c'est que tous les motifs (qui composent le grand et unique motif de la plaque) sont fait pour aller ensemble donc même si tous les ongles ne sont pas pareil, ils vont tous très bien ensemble et le nail-art ne choc pas. Et c'est génial !

Over this nail polish I wanted to add a simple stamping with one of the new plates from Moyou London I have received recently: Fashionista 11 and with a golden nail polish, my beloved Good as Gold from Essie.

I have chosen several pieces of the patterns on the plates to have different patterns on each nails and I really like the result =). What is very nice with full plate is that all the patterns (that compose the big pattern on the plate) are made to fit together so even if all the nailas are different they all fit together and this is wonderful !

Je suis assez fan de mon nail-art et j'ai eu quelques compliments donc je suis contente. Après avoir passé une demi-semaine les ongles nus, je ne vous dit pas le bonheur quand j'ai enfin pu me re-vernir les ongles.

I really like this nail-art and I received a few compliments so I am happy. After spending half a week without anything on my nails, I can tell you that it was such a pleasure to apply nail polish again on my nails.

Je crois que c'est tout pour cet article. Je ne sais pas quand j'aurais internet mais je sais que je vais pouvoir reprendre le nail-art régulièrement donc je vais continuer de prendre mes photos et je vais essayer de vous poster des articles depuis le boulot, pour ne pas prendre trop de retard et pour ne pas laisser le blog à l'abandon trop longtemps. J'espère que vous comprenez et que vous serez la au prochain article =).

I think that's it for this article. I don't know when I will have internet at home, but I know that I will be doing nail-art again quite often so I will keep taking pictures of my nails and I will try to post articles from the place I am working not to be too late in my articles and not to leave the blog during too long.
