Inspinails avec Beltane Secret: Pink Dry Brush !

Hello hello !

Voila plusieurs semaines (mois?) maintenant, Virginie du blog Beltane Secret, a demandé sur Facebook si quelqu'un était intéressé par des articles Mani Swap ou Inspinails avec elle et j'ai répondu présente puisque j'avais très envie de faire un article Inspinails avec une autre blogueuse.

A few weeks (months?) ago, Virginie from the blog Beltane Secret, asked on Facebook if anyone would like to do a Mani Swap or an Inspinails with her, and I told her that I was interested because I really wanted to realise an Inspinails article with another blogger.

On a commencé par discuter pour se mettre d'accord sur une technique qui nous plaisait et puis ensuite on a trainé. Ensuite on s'est recontacté pour partager certaines de nos trouvailles et on s'est arrêté sur une photo et on a encore trainé. Et enfin ça y est, voici notre article Inspinails.

We have started to talk about it to decide the technic we wanted to choose and then we have dawdled. Then we talked again together to share some ideas we have found online and we decided the one which would be our inspiration and we dawdled again. Finally, here we are, with our Inspinails article.

A l'origine j'aurais voulu faire du stamping (comme c'est étrange ^^) mais Virginie n'avait pas tellement envie d'en faire (et je l'en remercie !) alors je lui ai proposé la technique du Dry Brush que j'avais très envie d'essayer et elle a accepté.

At the beginning I wanted to recreate a stamping manicure (what a surprise ^^) but Virginie did not want (and I thank her for that !) to so I told her about the Dry Brush technic that I really wanted to try and she accepted.

Pour tout vous avouer, comme c'était mon tout premier dry brush, j'avais un peu peur de me rater et de ne pas aimer le résultat, du coup j'ai commencé par ne faire qu'une seule main pour voir si le résultat allait me plaire et si j'allais avoir envie de le garder sur mes ongles quelques jours.

Voila donc ce que ça a donné:

I have to tell you that as it was my very first dry brush, I was afraid not to succeed and not to like the result so I have started by realising it only on one hand to see if I like the result first and if I want to wear it for a few days.

Here is what I have made:

 

 

 

Finalamenet j'adore ce nail-art un peu déstructuré, que je portais d'ailleurs pour Halloween et qui du coup allait très bien avec l'occasion.

Quand j'ai eu terminé de poser les différentes teintes de rose, je n'aimais pas le résultat et j'étais persuadé que je n'allais pas garder cette manucure et puis finalement la pose du noir a rajouté ce petit quelque chose qui fait que j'adore ce nail-art et que je l'ai réalisé sur les deux mains.

Finally I love this nail-art, a little bit unstructured , that I was wearing for Halloween and that was perfect for the occasion I think.

When I was finished applying the different shades of pink polish, I did not really like the result and I was pretty sure I would not keep this manicure on my nails but finally after applying the black color the nail-art had this little something that I really like and that make that I realise this nail-art on my both hands.

Pour commencer j'ai posé le joli Charlotte Street de Nails Inc, que la gentille Pmabelle m'avait fait parvenir l'été dernier <3:

To start I have applied the very nice Charlotte Street from Nails Inc, that the very nice Pmabelle sent me last summer <3:

 

 

C'est un nude beige/rosé qui était selon moi la couleur qui se rapprochait le plus du nail-art original, parmi ce que j'avais dans ma collection.

Puis ensuite j'ai ajouté des taches de mon joli Fiji de Essie, puis de Tropink de Maybelline mais j'ai trouvé que la teinte était trop flashy donc j'ai essayé de l'adoucir en ajoutant un peu de Candy Floss de Mavala. Enfin j'ai terminé avec des taches de Licorice de Essie.

This a pink/beige nude color that was the color that look the most like the one on the original nail-art, from my collection.

Then I have applied some touch of my nice Fiji from Essie, then of Tropink from Maybelline but it seems to me that the color was too bright so I have tried so make it softer by adding some Candy Floss from Mavala. Finally I finished with some Licorice from Essie.

Je trouve que je me rapproche plutôt bien de l'original et je suis super contente du résultat. C'était mon tout premier dry brush mais ce ne sera surement pas le dernier car j'ai déjà très envie de recommencer, en ajoutant pourquoi pas un motif de stamping par dessus =P.

I think I am pretty close from the original one and I am really happy with the result. It was my very first dry brush but probably not my last one as I already want to try again by adding a stamping pattern over it =P.

Nail O'clock #5: Pastel et Striping tape

Coucou tout le monde !

Et oui c'est encore moi ! Je suis de retour pour le rendez-vous mensuel qu'est le Nail O'clock et je vous avoue qu'encore une fois j'ai bien failli ne pas y participer.

Je savais que la date approchait donc je suis allée consulter le blog de Laureline hier soir quand j'ai vu que la date était aujourd'hui. Du coup dans la soirée je me suis attelée a faire quelques nail-art et je suis prête pour le jour J !

Yes it is me again ! I am back for the fifth edition of the monthly challenge: the Nail O'clock. And I have to admit that once again I almost missed it.

I knew that the date was very close so I went on Laureline's blog to check it and it was only yesterday night that I realised the date as today. So yesterday night I have taken some time to create a few nail-at and I am ready for the D-Day !

Je vais me répéter mais j'adore ce rendez vous et je suis ravie de n'en avoir raté aucun pour le moment  =).

I will repeat myself but I really enjoy these meetings and I am glad I was able to participate to all of them until now =).

Le thème de cette cinquième édition était "Pastel et Striping tape/Washi tape". Je n'ai commencé à réfléchir au thème que hier soir et si dans les quelques secondes qui ont suivi la lecture du thème je n'ai pas eu d'idées, quelques minutes plus tard l'idée a germé dans ma tête et j'étais bien contente de ne pas avoir galéré trop longtemps pour trouver ce que j'allais faire ^^.

The theme, for this fifth edition, was "Pastel and Striping tape". I started thinking about it only yesterday night and if the seconds following the moment I read the theme I did not have any idea, a few minutes later the idea grew up in my mind so I was really happy not to need more time to find what I was going to do ^^.

Vous ne verrez aujourd'hui, exceptionnellement je pense, que ma main droite, puisque j'essaye de rentabiliser mon temps au maximum donc j'ai fait un nail-art sur ma main droite (que vous verrez bientôt) et ce nail-art sur ma main droite. C'était assez risqué je vous l'accorde mais finalement je m'en suis plutôt bien sortie je trouve =). Je vous demanderais simplement d'être indulgente quant à mes poses et à l'état de mes cuticules, je suis droitière donc c'est souvent ma main droite qui travaille et qui est le plus abimé donc mes cuticules sont moins jolies que celles de ma main gauche.

Trêves de blabla, passons au nail-art:

Today, exceptionnally I think, you will only see my right hand because I tried to be as efficient as I could so I did a nail-art on my left hand (that you will see very soon) and I made this nail-art on my right hand. It was kind of a challenge I agree with you but finally I did it quite well I think =). I will just ask you to be clement for my hand posture and for my cuticles. I am right-handed so I am using my right hand very often and it is the one that is more "damaged" from my both hand.

I stop talking and let me show you the nail-art:

 

 

 

Comme vous le voyez pour réaliser ce nail-art, j'ai posé une couche de blanc, Matt White de Barry m, sur tous mes ongles, puis j'ai attendu que ça sèche et j'ai posé des bandes de striping tape de façon à représenter des sortes de triangles allongés sur mes ongles, puis j'ai rempli les espaces avec mes petits vernis pastels de chez Mavala j'ai nommé Lemon Cream, Fresh Melon, Candy Floss, Blue Mint et Pistachio qu'on ne voit que sur le pouce.

As you can see, I firstly painted my nails with white nail polish, Matt White from Barry m, then I wait for it to dry and then I have applied some piece of striping tape to create some sort of long triangles on my nails. Finally I filled the spaces with my pastel nail polishes which are Lemon Cream, Fresh Melon, Candy Floss, Blue Mint and Pistachio that you can only see on my thumb.

J'adore le résultat et ce qui est certain c'est que je re-ferai ce nail-art sur mes deux mains, de façon à pouvoir le porter plusieurs jours et à pouvoir l'apprécier plus longtemps que le temps d'une soirée ^^.

Je trouve qu'on dirait un peu les rayons du soleil qui aurait été stylisés comme dans certaines BD. 

Bref j'aime beaucoup et Chéri aussi a beaucoup aimé donc c'est parfait =).

I love the result and I will surely do it again on my both hands to be able to enjoy it more than just one evening ^^. It makes me think about sun beams as they can be represented in some comic books.

Anyway I love this nail-art and my boyfriend loved it too so that's perfect =).

Cocktails et cocotiers pour Pshiiit !

Hello hello !

Pas de Nailstorming pour moi aujourd'hui puisque je n'ai pas eu le temps de me pencher sur le thème. Beaucoup de blogueuses lance des concours en ce moment et comme j'ai envie d'y participer (pour le challenge et parce que les lots sont très sympas aussi il faut le dire ^^), je me concentre exclusivement là dessus pour l'instant. 

J'ai manqué de temps ces derniers jours, et je risque d'en manquer un peu aussi dans les semaines qui viennent mais je vous reparlerais de tout cela plus tard.

No Nailstorming for me today because I did not have time to think about the theme. Lots of blogger have launched their contest these times and as I want to participate (for the challenge but also because the prices are amazing I have to say it ^^), I mostly focus my nail-art on these contests.

I did not have so much time these last days and I won't probably have more during the next weeks but I will tell you more about it later.

Aujourd'hui c'est pour vous présenter le nail-art que j'ai réalisé pour le petit concours Instagram de Pshiiit que je vous fait cet article, parce que j'ai adoré le porter et qu'il m'a suivi pendant tout ce week-end prolongé =). (il se prolonge jusque demain pour moi puisqu'ici c'est le 4 mai qui est férié et non le 1er ^^).

Today, I am here to present you the nail-art that I have made for Pshiiit's contest that she posted on Instagram, because I really love it and because I have been wearing it for this long weekend =). (tomorrow is still the weekend for me because in Ireland the 4th of May is a bank holiday instead of the 1st of May ^^).

Le thème de son concours était "cocktails et cocotiers". Dans l'idéal j'aurais aimé faire du stamping, mais je n'ai pas les plaques adéquats donc je me suis lancé dans quelque chose de plus abstrait mais qui rentre tout à fait dans le thème selon moi.

Je vous montre et vous me direz:

The theme of her contest was "Cocktails and Palm trees". Ideally, I wish I could do some stamping, but I don't have the plates so I made something more abstract but which still match the theme according to me.

Notez la mise en scène des photos =P j'ai essayé de me mettre dans le thème. J'aimerais bien pouvoir faire des macros quand même parce que ce serait vraiment mieux pour vous montrer... ça viendra, quand j'en aurais les moyens ^^.

Look at the background of my pictures =P I have tried to match the theme as much as possible. I wish I could do some macro pictures because it would be so better to show you the nail-art... it will come when I will have enough money ^^.

Alors vous en pensez quoi? Moi ça me fait penser aux piscines, ou à la mer bleu turquoise des destinations de rêve et les petites paillettes par dessus qui brillent au soleil ça rend le tout un peu magique.

So what do you think about it? Personally it makes me think about swimming pools, or about the sea in paradise and the glitters on the top that shine when the sun touch them it gives a little bit of magic.

Pour faire cette manucure j'ai commencé par poser le joli bleu de la marque Etude House (il n'a pas de nom mais c'est celui qui est dans le packaging au cornet de glace) que j'ai laissé sécher et ensuite avec ma petite éponge humidifiée, j'ai déposé des touches de Mor 10 de Nfuh Oh, de Lemon Cream de Mavala et de Pistachio toujours de Mavala.

J'ai repassé plusieurs fois jusqu'à avoir le résultat souhaité puis j'ai fondu le tout avec une couche de top coat pailleté de Color Club, mon fameux Snow-flakes. J'adore ce top coat, mais je trouve que les paillettes sont trop volumineuses, ce qui gâche parfois un peu le nail-art. Du coup le top coat Holiday de chez Picture Polish me fait très très envie et j'ai hâte de pouvoir me le procurer =P.

To make this manicure I have started to apply the blue polish from Etude House (no name for this polish but it is the one that looks like an ice cream) that I have let dried and then I have applied some touch of colours with a wet makeup sponge. I have used: Mor 10 from Nfuh Oh, Lemon Cream from Mavala and Pistachio, still from Mavala.

I do it several times until I get the result that I wanted and I have added a glittery top coat from Color Club, my famous Snow-flakes. I really like this top coat, but the glitters are very large so sometimes it hides the nail-art... This is why I want to buy the glittery top coat Holiday from Picture Polish =P.

J'ai essayé de faire un stamping blanc par dessus, mais je ne sais pas ce qu'il se passe en ce moment, mais je n'arrive plus a rien stamper... Il va falloir que je me procure des vernis spéciaux pour le stamping pour vous si c'est de là que vient le problème et puis sinon je changerais de tampon.

Du coup sur certaines photos on voit légèrement le stamping blanc mais ce n'est pas folichon.

J'ai terminé en posant une couche de top coat et voila =).

I have tried to make some white stamping on the top of everything but I don't know why these times I cannot stay at all. I will have to buy some nail polish that are made for stamping to check if this is the problem and if not I will buy a new stamper.

So on some pictures you can see a very light white stamping but it is not spectacular.

I have finished the manicure by applying a layer of top coat and voila =).

Happy Dotty Birthday to Sow Nails !

Hello everyone =).

Aujourd'hui pas de Nailstorming pour moi, puisque je vous retrouve pour un complot =). Et oui encore un, mais que voulez vous en ce moment, les complots fleurissent de partout, ça doit être le printemps =) ! Et ce complot est donc pour la jolie Sow Nails, blogueuse de la team =) ! (clique pour aller voir son blog !)

Ce complot est pour Sow Nails et même si je ne la connais pas très bien, je tenais à participer à ce complot parce que j'adore ça tout simplement ^^.

Today, no Nailstorming for me because I am here for a plot =). Yes another one but they are flourishing everywhere at the moment, probably because of spring =) !

Pour commencer je tiens donc à te souhaiter un très Joyeux Anniversaire et beaucoup de précieux en cette journée si spéciale pour toi =). (et des chocolats aussi évidemment puisque c'est Pâques =P).

First I want to wish you a Happy Birthday with lots of nail polishes for this special day for you =) (and chocolates too, obviously, because it is Easter =P).

Heloïse avait lancé ce complot et puis finalement je l'ai repris en main, et je me suis dit que j'allais pour une fois me lancer dans la création d'un logo. Je me suis appliquée et j'ai demandé conseil auprès des autres comploteuses et j'espère vraiment qu'il te plaira =).

Heloïse launched this plot first but finally, I took charge of it and I decided that for once I will create the logo. I took care of what I did and I have asked some advices to the plot team and I really hope you will like it =).

Avec les comploteuses on a remarqué que, outre les vernis Kiko tu aimais aussi beaucoup faire des pois dans tes manucures (d'ailleurs, ta dernière manucure est également à base de pois, donc on ne s'est pas trop trompé je pense ^^), du coup on s'est dit que ce serait sympa de te faire une manucure à pois pour l'occasion =).

With the girls, we have noticed that, in addition to the Kiko nail polishes, you also really like doing dots in your manicure (by the way your last manicure is also made off dots so I think we didn't make a mistake ^^), so we thought that it could be nice to crate a dotty manicure for this occasion =).

Pour ma part, j'ai eu beaucoup d'idées pour ton nail-art: je voulais d'abord n'utiliser que des vernis Kiko, puis j'ai voulu faire du stamping, et puis finalement j'ai eu envie de pois pastels alors j'ai mis du temps à me décider et j'ai fini par faire mon nail-art à la dernière minute =/... (et c'est pour ça que je suis en retard et j'en suis vraiment désolée...)

I had lots of idea for your nail-art: I firstly wanted to use only Kiko nail polishes, then I wanted to do some stamping and finally I wanted tu make pastel dots. So it took time for me to decide and I did my nail-art at the last moment =/.... (and this is why I am late, and I am really sorry for this).

J'arrête de blablater et je te montre le nail-art que j'ai réalisé pour ton anniversaire:

J'ai donc commencer par appliquer une base blanche (en 3 couches et ça, ça m'a gonflé...) et ensuite j'ai posé des gouttes de mes vernis pastels (je les avais présenté ici, donc clique si tu veux les voir) sur une petite "palette" et je me suis armée de patience et d'un dotting tool et taddaaam =).

So I have started by applying a white nail polish (in 3 layers and I don't like it...) and then I have put some drops of my pastel polishes (I have shown them here so you can click if you want to see them) on a little "palette". I have taken a dotting tool and some patience and taddaaam =).

J'ai réussi à reproduire sur mes ongles ce que j'avais en tête alors je suis ravie, et j'ai été suffisamment patiente pour attendre avant de poser mon top coat et rien n'a bavé donc je suis joie =D.

I managed to reproduce on my nails exactly what I had in mind so I am happy and I was patient enough to wait before applying my top coat so that the colours did not leak, I am so glad =D.

J'adore ce nail-art et je crois que je vais le refaire plusieurs fois, avec différentes couleurs peut être mais vraiment ce nail-art il me plait =).

I love this nail-art and I think that I will do it again several times, with different colours maybe, but really I love it =).

J'espère que toi aussi tu l'aimeras Sow Nails, parce que bon il est un peu fait pour toi quand même ^^ et puis je te souhaite encore une fois un bon anniversaire =).

Aujourd'hui encore un article spécial puisqu'il s'agit du Happy Blue Day, qui est la journée mondiale de sensibilisation à l'autisme. Je vous met le lien de l'événement ici, si ça vous intéresse.

Today I am presenting you another special article, because it is the Happy Blue Day. This day is known as the international day against autism. Here is the link for this event, if you are interested in.

Je n'ai pas de proches atteint par cette maladie donc je ne suis pas personnellement touchée mais j'imagine très bien à quel point cela peut être difficile de vivre avec cette maladie, mais également d'avoir des proches qui sont touchés.

I don't have any relatives suffering from autism so I am not personally affected but I can very well imagine how hard it should be to live with this disease but also to have relatives suffering from it.

Pour l'occasion, il fallait faire un coeur bleu et j'ai décidé de pousser le thème à son maximum en prenant le bleu comme couleur dominante et en réalisant plusieurs coeurs partout sur tous mes ongles.

For this occasion we had to wear a blue heart and I decided to be totally in the "theme" by wearing blue and hearts on all my nails.

J'ai donc posé mon petit Blue Mint de Mavala sur tous mes ongles sauf sur l'annulaire sur lequel j'ai posé mon vernis blanc de chez Makeup Gallery (je vous en reparlerai plus tard). Sur l'annulaire toujours j'ai dessiné un gros coeur bleu avec le vernis Blue Mint de Mavala et j'en ai fait le contour au pinceau et au vernis avec mon Arrogant Black de Arcancil. J'ai volontairement fait des contours non nets, parce que je voulais garder cet effet dessiné à la main. Et enfin sur tous mes autres ongles j'ai réalisé un petit stamping représentant une sorte d'électrocardiogramme en noir, toujours avec mon vernis Arrogant Black de Arcancil et avec la plaque... de Bundle Monster.

I have applied Blue Mint from Mavala on all my nails, except on the ring finger where I have applied my white polish from Makeup Gallery (I will tell you about it later). On my ring finger, I drew a big blue heart still with Blue Mint from Mavala and I drew the contours with a brush and a black polish, Arrogant Black from Arcancil. I deliberately made these contours not very clear because I wanted to  keep the effect "hand drawn". Finally, on my other nails I have simply made a stamping with the same black polish and the stamping plate ... from Bundle Monster.

Ce n'est pas exactement le nail-art que j'avais en tête mais tout ne s'est pas passé comme prévu au moment de la réalisation et finalement, je suis assez satisfaite du résultat =).

This is not exactly the nail-art that I had in my mind, but things did not happen as I expected when I realised my nail-art and finally I am quite proud with the result =).

A mon niveau il n'est pas toujours évident d'apporter mon soutien pour telle ou telle cause, alors je suis contente d'avoir réalisé cette manucure, pour montrer mon soutien aux personnes touchées par cette maladie.

At my level, it is not always easy to support a cause so I am glad I have realised this manicure to show my support to every people affected by this disease.
